Tutorial: How to link a word to a web address (URL)

So a lot of guys already know this but a lot of guys dont. I figured it couldn't hurt to pass on the info for those that dont. This will allow you to HYPERLINK a word (or a group of words) to a website address in any of your posts. Here is how:

In your post or reply type your text.

Click and drag over the word(s) you want to link. I have highlighted "WORD" to be my link:

Next you will need to click the "link" icon in the shape of the world shown here:

Once you click that a window will open asking you for your web address or URL as its called. This is where you put in the web address you want to send people to when they click your link word(s).

I have inserted the wescoastrccrawlers.com info in my link.

Hit "OK" once you have your address inputed and your post will look something like this:

Now you are ready to SUBMIT your reply or post and once you do your post will look like this. You can see the blue "WORD" is highlighted and now a clickable link to the westcoastrccrawlers.com site I entered.

Hope this helps a few who didnt know and in return you can put our website LINK in your future posts on other web sites or even in your signatures!!!

    Thanx

After you've finished teaching me everything I should have already known about the website, maybe you could start on my smart-phone.

All the tutorials are already grouped together in the FAQ so no sticky needed. But the Google Map training is buried in a thread somewhere. Would be nice to move that over as a tutorial too to keep all the smartness together.

I'm glad this helps some people out. I will work on a map one and post it with all the tutorials in the FAQ section.
